VUVC girls

All 15U - 18U travel teams will compete on a national schedule. We have selected events in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

The expectation is all teams will attend every scheduled tournament. All teams will attend the multi-day events scheduled for their team. Teams are scheduled to play 15 competition dates. Previous schedules offered a comparable number of competition dates over eight to nine weekends or more. We desired to require fewer weekends of travel and lower expenses associated with travel.

Teams who earn bids to USA Volleyball Girls Junior Nationals will compete in that event and that event will have separate costs, including a “stay and play” requirement.

Tryout & Initial Fees

There is a non-refundable tryout fee required to participate and be evaluated. If your daughter joins a team, you will be responsible for paying the initial fees, ordering and paying for uniforms (if necessary), and setting up the remaining season’s monthly dues.

All athlete’s families will be required to sign a club season contract outlining the costs and commitment, which is from August 01, 2024, through July 15, 2025.

Our coaching body includes some of the most successful and decorated coaches in Nevada, including former college coaches and players. We have coaches who have guided more than one team to medals on a national level and an international level.

Sue Thurman - Originally from Pennsylvania; decorated athlete and coach; a long-time middle school educator; winner of multiple State Championships (both boys & girls); won Bronze medal USA GJNC (2023); founding coach for women’s volleyball at CSN
